Jane Harte

I am an experienced academic with higher degrees, including a Masters and a PhD from Australian and Swedish universities. Over my career, I have combined my academic life with considerable industry experience, having had many years of working as a psychologist and organisational development consultant, specialising in psychometric assessment, recruitment, applied research, including evaluation, leadership and organisational behaviour. I have worked extensively as a consultant with the Australian Defence Organisation and with multi-national mining companies in Australia and Indonesia; the higher education sectors in Australia, the United Kingdom and Ireland; the justice sector in Papua New Guinea and many health and medical training organisations in Australia. I was a foundation member of the Defence Honours and Awards Appeals Tribunal for seven years and I served as a member on the Veterans’ Review Board until last year. I also have continuing tenure on the Defence and Department of Veterans’ Affairs Human Research Ethics Committee and I recently resigned after 30 years’ service as a senior Australian Army Psychology Officer (Reserve).
