Nayab Sultan is an international OHS professional with 30 years’ experience in a variety of heavy industries including construction, engineering, oil & gas, pipelines, process industries, marine and mining. He has maintained a parallel career as an expert in the development of national OHS institutions and has severed as the honorary advisor to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Malawi, Namibia, and Botswana. He received an Honorary Doctorate for his work in Malawi.
He holds several degrees including currently working towards his doctorate which he is doing in the area of occupational lung diseases, pneumoconiosis, silicosis, and silica-induced diseases in which he continues to write extensively in peer-reviewed journals, magazines and trade publications. He is also actively involved in the preparation of an Encyclopaedia on Silicosis with a team from the Pan-American Silicosis Research Group. He is also a member of the International Commission on Occupational Health – Scientific Committee on Respiratory Disorders. He joins PCU as Sessional Faculty while maintaining a similar role with several international universities including those in Canada, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
