Shelly Dauphinee BA MPL ICD.D is an accomplished executive in public service and workplace health science. For over 20 years, she has lead multidisciplinary teams to win national and international awards in the Workers Compensation and Occupational Health and Safety Industry.
Born and raised on the East Coast, Shelly completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) at the University of New Brunswick and then moved to Ontario to complete a Masters of Human Services Planning (MPl) at Queens University. In 2015 she earned her Professional Corporate Director designation (ICD.D) through the Institute of Corporate Directors.
Shelly brings a broad perspective to the challenges of the workplace health science field. Through her role as the Director of Policy and Planning for both the Canadian Red Cross and the Workplace Health Safety and Compensation Commission, she brings expert knowledge in strategic planning, legislative development, and policy frameworks to advance occupational health and safety, disability management, and compensation insurance. With over 10 years as the Vice President of WorksafeNB responsible for Operations (claims management, occupational health and safety operations, and the Workers Rehabilitation Center) and currently as Director of Workplace Services and Specialized Adjudication for the WCB of Nova Scotia and the Canadian Association for Workplace Tragedy Family Support – Threads of Life, Shelly is equally as comfortable in the board room as she is listening to an injured worker or family member. She is committed to sharing her experience and insight into successes and failures in change leadership, governance, strategy, client experience, and multidisciplinary care to enhance the industry and grow future leaders.
