The Practicum capstone stream (WHDM 412a and WHDM 412b: two 3-credit courses) is changing to WHDM 412, a 6-credit course of Work Integrated Learning.
The 150 hours Practicum placement is being discontinued, and replaced by a 12-13 week Work Integrated Learning placement. We expect that these will be full-time, paid positions for which students will need to apply.
As with the Practicum, the new Work Integrated Learning placements will require students to work during regular working hours, and on-site at least part if not all of the time (not online) at participating workplaces.
At this point in time, for the 2024-25 academic year, Work Integrated Learning is very uncertain and unlikely, but if any placements should become available, they would be most likely to take place for about 12-13 weeks between the end of the Winter trimester (Mar 30) and the middle of August.
We will update students shortly as new information is available.
